About me

I started playing the piano at the age of seven at a music school in Prague. Apart from my solo repertoire, I frequently performed with school orchestras and participated within chamber trios in several national competitions. The highlight of this period came in 2008 when me and my two amazing cello and violin co-players won the first place in the Czech national competition of chamber ensembles focusing on baroque music.

Since my high school years, I started experimenting with my own improvisations, which gradually led me to courses in music composition and jazz music. In addition, I started regularly playing the church organ at St Matthew’s church in Prague, where me and my brother have served now for almost twenty years.

Although I decided to attend non-music oriented universities instead of a music conservatory, this did not stop me from pursuing my hobby – especially during recent years in Switzerland, where I draw all my music inspiration from the surrounding nature.

When not playing the piano or working, you can find me in the mountains with my backpack and camera, or at home doing carpentry.
